1. What it does

ModKor Guest To Customer invites guests — politely, by email — to turn their order into an account with one click. The email carries a secure link; the guest only chooses a password. Their order history and addresses are attached automatically, and repeat guests get your loyalty pitch instead of a generic invite.

The module installs disabled — nothing changes for your guests until you switch it on.

4. Quick start (2 minutes)

1. Open ModKor → Guest To Customer and turn on Enable Guest To Customer. Leave the mode on Invite by email.
2. Set the customer group for new accounts and check the two order-linking switches (both recommended on).
3. In Invite flow, keep the defaults (send instantly, 14-day expiry, reminder after 3 days, loyalty pitch at 2+ orders).
4. In Loyalty & incentive, write your loyalty pitch — this is what repeat buyers read.
5. Save changes, place a guest test order — the invite email arrives, the link opens the pre-filled sign-up page, and the new account shows the order.

5. The dashboard, section by section

General

The master switch, the conversion mode (Invite by email — recommended — or Auto-convert with Magento's native set-password welcome email), the customer group for new accounts, and order linking: attach guest orders to existing accounts at placement, and claim past guest orders when someone registers normally.

Invite flow

When the invite goes out (send delay — 0 = with the order confirmation; 24–72h often converts better), how long the link lives (expiry), the single reminder, the repeat-buyer threshold that triggers the loyalty variant, the order-success page card, and the hard send cap per invite.

Loyalty & incentive

The loyalty pitch repeat buyers read, and the optional welcome coupon: pick an active cart price rule with coupon type "Specific Coupon" and the module generates one unique single-use code per invite, with configurable prefix and validity.

Email

Pick the sender identity. Three templates ship with the module — Account invite, Account invite (repeat buyer) and Invite reminder — customizable under Marketing → Email Templates, translated per store view (EN + FR included).

Conversion funnel

Sent → clicked → converted with the conversion rate, 7-day counts, a repeat-buyer breakdown, status chips and the latest invites (★ marks repeat buyers). The full Invites grid adds filters and mass Resend / Expire / Delete.

Per-store-view overrides

Pick a store view in Scope, then flip Override on any section to give that view its own rules; everything else inherits from Default.

6. The guest experience

1. Order confirmed — the invite email arrives (immediately or after your delay). Repeat buyers get the loyalty variant with your pitch.
2. One click — the landing page greets them by name, shows their order number, and asks only for a password.
3. Done — account created, every guest order with their email attached, addresses imported from the order, signed in, redirected to their account.

The thank-you page also offers "Email me a secure sign-up link" — and every email carries a "Don't ask me again" link that opts the guest out politely.

Hyvä? Yes — the thank-you card and landing page are plain HTML with scoped CSS; no Knockout/RequireJS. Luma works too.

REST / GraphQL / PWA orders? Yes — invites hook the order-submit event, not checkout JS.

Is this compliant? The invite is a transactional email tied to a purchase the customer just made, with a one-click opt-out — the clean opposite of silently creating accounts.

Multi-store? Fully scoped — every setting per store view; emails send in the order's store-view language.
